We are a NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) sanctioned team within the Oregon League.

We race in the OR Southern League, which includes teams from Bend, Corvallis, Eugene, Klamath Falls, Oakridge/Westfir, Prineville, Rogue Valley, Sisters, the South Coast, and Umpqua Valley. The OR Northern League (which we meet at the State Championships) has a similar number of teams.

We accept all 6th-12th graders that have a passion or curiosity about mountain biking with other teens. We accept all experience and fitness levels; there are no tryouts and everyone on the team participates. We are an inclusive, supportive group of students and coaches who ride, and whose primary goal is to HAVE FUN while challenging ourselves and each other on and off the trail. Thru this team experience, we gain friendship, trail stewardship, skill development, and physical activity, outside, with other like-minded individuals.

Programming is based on group-ride dynamics, skill development, and games. We group riders based on age, skill/experience levels and their goals. Whether a teen is interested in racing competitively or just to challenge themselves, we will provide the resources, so they are prepared for these events. We strongly recommend regular attendance at practices, as we have found those who show up consistently are better prepared for racing and our longer weekend rides. As riders improve their skills, demonstrate risk management and self control, they will be able to ride longer and/or more advanced-level trails.

We are not an elite development team and do not ride extreme downhill trails. We understand that you don’t need a team to enjoy riding a mountain bike, but we have discovered there is a certain energy that is created by youth riding with their peers and with coaches who are there to support and encourage them. If you're not sure if this is something you/your teen would enjoy, ask about joining one of our week-day team rides. We hope you'll join us.
